Built For Poets. By A Poet.
For more than fifteen years, Robin Gittens worked in Product Management and UX Design, partnering with global teams to shape digital experiences with clarity, empathy, and purpose — work for teams and companies that weren't his own.
In his early forties, after a series of life-changing events, he began to feel the distance between that career and the voice he had long kept hidden. He returned to poetry — an art he had practiced privately since adolescence — as a way to confront lived experiences of shame, grief, heritage, and survival with albinism.
He brought the same frameworks he'd used to build other people's platforms, and built PoetiKit instead — not as corporate utility, but as a devotion to structure, emotional truth, and candid storytelling.
Robin writes to stand against social injustice, stigma, and childhood trauma. Now he's creating a community for other poets carrying a similar weight, as they too seek to find their voice and reclaim their power.

It allows you to imagine, research, analyze, and grow. The Mentor reflects your poem back to you — structure, imagery, sound, and how closely it aligns with your preferences — and asks questions to encourage thought and revision. The Poetry Mentor does not write poems for you.
Other poets only see what you choose to share. When you ask for feedback, AI providers process your text to give it, and they’re not allowed to train on it. You can also choose to show nothing at all.
No: you own what you write. Your poem text is securely sent to trusted AI providers only to generate your Mentor's feedback—none of them use or train on it, and PoetiKit has no AI-training pipeline/process of its own. Sharing to the in-app Community is always your explicit choice.
