For more than eighteen years, Robin Gittens worked in Product Management and UX Design, partnering with global teams to shape digital experiences with clarity, empathy, and purpose — work for teams and companies that weren't his own.
In his early forties, after a series of life-changing events, he began to feel the distance between that career and the voice he had long kept hidden. He returned to poetry — an art he had practiced privately since adolescence — as a way to confront lived experiences of shame, grief, heritage, and survival with albinism.
He brought the same frameworks he'd used to build other people's platforms, and built PoetiKit instead — not as corporate utility, but as a devotion to structure, emotional truth, and candid storytelling.
Robin writes to stand against social injustice, stigma, and childhood trauma. Now he's creating a community for other poets carrying a similar weight, as they too seek to find their voice and reclaim their power.

Only poems you explicitly share appear in the in-app Community of other authenticated poets. You choose whether to share your name, bio, or any other personal information from your chosen poems or profile.
